What isn't covered as part of my homeowner's policy?

A: Standard exclusions on most homeowner policies include but are not limited to: Ordinance or law, earth movement, floods, off premises power failure, neglect or general wear and tear, war, nuclear hazard, and intentional loss. Some of these coverages (not all), can be added with separate endorsements or policies. Keep in mind that certain personal property is generally not covered by homeowners insurance including but not limited to: animals, birds or fish; motor vehicles and some motorized land conveyances, as well as the property of roomers, boarders or tenants.
