Our awards and recognitions
The activities we carry out in order to improve the lives of others have received the recognition of several associations and institutions aligned with our goals. Their recognition encourages us to continue with our work and strengthens our commitment to society.
2019 Awards and Recognition Given to Fundacion MAPFRE and MAPFRE USA Employees
- Webster Public Schools presented Fundación MAPFRE and MAPFRE USA with the Outstanding Community Partner Award for their partnership on providing Boston Children’s Hospital Injury Prevention program workshops, donation of clothing and toys for students and volunteering for Community Reading Day.
- Worcester Community Action Council presented Fundación MAPFRE and MAPFRE USA the WCAC Action Hero Award for their partnership in the Head Start nutrition program as well as the volunteering efforts of MAPFRE USA employees who participate in the Book Buddies program, collect winter coats for their annual coat drive and visit the schools to assist the children with their annual gingerbread house decorating contest.
- The Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Senate presented an official citation to Fundación MAPFRE and MAPFRE USA in recognition of their involvement with the Worcester Community Action Council Head Start Nutrition Program.
- Best Buddies presented Fundación MAPFRE and MAPFRE USA with the Best Buddies Spirit of Inclusion Award for their support of the creation of Best Buddies Pre-Employment Training Program which has helped young adults with IDD gain increased insight into career options for the future. Additionally MAPFRE USA employees were recognized for their volunteering efforts, serving as mentors for students as they determine their path to employment.
